Pandemic Diaries Series

Pandemic Diary Series is a series of over twenty paintings made on canvas a painterly introspection during the pandemic. A daily ritual of note-taking. The paintings are my journal, a conduit to private discourse and contemplations. The pain of separation from the people I love as the borders of countries were locked down for over a year, the loss of lives and social issues during the pandemic – the social isolation, silent pandemic, shadow pandemic, racism. The paintings are a self-reflection and the process of self-discovery. A connection with my soul with a body of brush stokes and color contemplating on the power of faith and resilience of the human spirit. They helped me cope and hope during the dark times.
